Dirk Reinartz (1947-2004) was hired by Stern as a photojournalist at the age of 23, making him the youngest photo reporter at Stern. At the age of 27, he discovered the city of New York for himself on two private trips. His searching view of New York in the early 1970s shows his curiosity and fascination for the city, which he always tried to capture anew in changing perspectives in every picture.
