Raffaele Celentano (*1962) was born in Sorrento near Naples and is now a freelance photographer in Munich and Sorrento. He studied literature and philosophy in Naples. In 1986, after graduating, he moved to Munich and in 1991 won first prize in a photography competition and began to devote himself entirely to photography. In the following years he undertook numerous trips to Asia, which were published in international magazines. The range of his reports includes Mother Theresa in Calcutta as well as gourmet restaurants in Paris and an expedition to indigenous people in Papua New Guinea.
