Franz Münster (1898 – 1974) received numerous awards, medals and certificates at national photography competitions. The work of the amateur photographer, who worked as a freelance photojournalist in Hamburg from 1927 onwards, is impressive and diverse: In addition to pictorial genre scenes and idyllic nature shots, later works already show influences of avant-garde photography.
