Inta Ruka is one of the most famous contemporary photographers in the Baltics. The artist, born in Riga in 1958, has been photographing the people of her country for over two decades - mainly in the rural Balvi region and in the Latvian capital Riga. In her series “Amalias Street 5” she focuses on the residents of a specific ensemble of buildings in Riga.
