Inta Ruka (*1958) is one of the most famous contemporary photographers in the Baltics. The Riga-born artist has been photographing the people of her country for over two decades - mainly in the rural Balvi region and the Latvian capital Riga. In her series “Amalias Street 5” she focuses on the residents of a specific ensemble of buildings in Riga.
